| In this month the new expansion of Darkness Rising came out and could be obtained by download. However, initial optimism and enthusiasm quickly vanished when we realized this expansion to be the worst Mythic ever made. The expansion heralded as group friendly and interesting in storyline failed miserably on both accounts. It was way too short, only had some interesting storylines in the very beginning and resulted in a bug ridden Master Level like zerging. It not only had the feel of a rushed product but it simply was. While the Council had set high hopes for this expansion to refresh interest in DAOC the opposite had happened and we quickly realized that we, as a clan could no longer support this game under our banner. So the decision was made to dissolve the Republic of Immortality in DAOC. We contacted members and many also cancelled their account. Others wished to remain fighting under our flag until the very end. A date was set in December when the clan would be fully disbanded. |
