| This month was characterized by the failing of our old site URL. In the first two months the site was offline from time to time but in March the site was down almost constantly. After frantic discussions we decided on moving our old URL to a new domain provider. However how little we knew about Internet bureaucracy. Although Kitana had registered the old domain and paid for it, it was impossible to move the old domain name to a new provider because our ‘old’ provider did not forward a crucial e-mail to her. Without that e-mail moving was out of the order and in that way we ‘locked’ ourselves out of our own domain name. After several meetings, and numerous phone calls here and in the USA we decided that the best and quickest way to get the site up again was to register a complete new domain. Fortunately Ghostkillah and I found a good and not too expansive provider that had a lot to offer. I phoned them and received excellent service. Within a week we got a new domain and Ghostkillah began at the very hard work of moving the site. It was made more complicated because he , as many of you know, had to edit all programs he created to update the site. However in lightning speed he got the site up and running again and that was a great accomplishment.
In this month the waiting list was used to full capacity. It has been full twice and on its way to fill for the third time. As a result new members were mostly well-motivated and very active as their quick leveling in the clan demonstrated that. Dennizon began writing a new profile and somehow managed to draw almost everyone into the same activity. Many members edited or wrote a complete new profile for their characters. With these new profiles we add a new depth to the clan in creating this Role playing aspect. Dennizon was also instrumental in stimulating everyone to play Hardcore. Many of us played Hardcore this month and although Dennizon himself sometimes lost fate ,due to lag and other Battle Net flaws, the activity was a great success. Our ally the Brotherhood of the Dwarfian Jedi approached us, amongst others, with the idea to form a large PKK alliance. We discussed their proposal in the council and decided that we , although hailing the Dwarfian Jedi for their noble intent, will not participate in such an alliance at this time. However we did some counter proposals ourselves , like the swapping of PK info between allied clans. Kitana made it clear this month that had too little time to remain an active councilor. However she made it clear she wanted to organize the Wedding of Dragonking and Dragonqueen before (perhaps temporary) leaving the council. Dragonking and Kitana are meet regularly to set up a wedding that will, no doubt, be a splendid occasion for everyone. However because of that it means that now the council temporarily consists of 3 councilors but because of a good division of tasks we can manage it. After a first round, some weeks ago, were we asked some of you who was willing and able to replace Kitana it was decided that we will prospone the possible replacement for Kitana to a later date. |
