| In the month June we finally were blessed with having 4 councilors again. It immediately showed as there was finally time enough to develop new activities/improving old activities. Vadrigald and Farseer worked together in developing the new Ladders for the clan and Ramuh wrote a guide for the funchar was placed on the site activities section.
In addition to these activities we finally witnessed the grand wedding of Duke Dragonking and Duchesse Dragonqueen. I will put the wedding script in the library so all can read for themselves about this splendid event. Later we organized a tournament in their honor and many people , Immortals and allies alike joined the tournament. Especially members from our good friend of the Royal Army attended in mass. In the end it was a close finish but Excidium won the tournament just before 4 Royal Army members who indeed dominated the top 5. Unfortunately also this month some old-time members of the clan decided to leave.Although they will be missed of course we wished them all the luck in their future time on Battle Net. However we have no doubt that we will see our friends on Battle Net frequently. In this month the Killer Muppets , a clan founded by our former Duke Slewey made some good progress by removing some members and formally apologizing for the actions towards us of certain members of that clan. Fortunately that diffused the situation just in time so trouble with them seem to be avoided. Another ‘event’ was the very controversial new patch from Blizzard with the great title patch 1.08. It changed the game considerably and some chars with precisely allocated skills were rendered useless or at least became whims overnight. All the clan forums and Blizzard own forums were filled with people complaining and under that pressure they had to change some of the more drastic changes back. However all this was of course a prelude to the coming out of the expansion set and it indeed came Friday the 29 of June. The first impressions are that LoD is a large improvement to Diablo 2 classic indeed. Hirelings transfer between acts, dressing up hirelings and healing them, personalizing items and make a favorite weapon socketable. Finally after some problems with the join form and report post our provider solved the problems after some research so we all now could safely use the report post and /or confidently redirect interested people to the join form. |
