| In January we hold several more Council meetings concerning Dark Age of Camelot. In this month the Europeans could enter the beta test for Europe and Vadrigald, Myself, Jurek , Mystic and others entered that realm to experience for ourselves how much fun this new game can be. However because of server incompatibility between the US and European servers we choose to found the clan on the US/world version.
In this month we also made the following important decisions. We will NOT leave the world of Diablo. We will gradually add more clan games for our members to choose from. Not too much, but think off 4 or 5 to the max. For each clan game a separate site will be created (D2 site already in place of course) and members can choose the site they want to go when entering the site. The forums though will remain centralized and forums will be added to the existing ones to accommodate the new game(s). -The Dukes can choose a RPG orientated game to represent and build an Immortality division there if they wish. Of course the game must be discussed with the Council first and together be evaluated for its suitability. Rights of a Duke in this division can be compared to the rights of the internal affairs councilor in that specific game. That means a Duke in the game of his/her choosing organizes structure, recruiting, specific game related issues such as questing. On top of that a Duke him/herself will create the website of the Division. Of course we will help in any way we can for example with reserving web space on the Immortal server and any other way as requested by the Duke. Of course the Council will look carefully if the ‘spirit’ of the Republic is being transferred to the new game as well. With that we mean for example a resembling of our ranking system and the republic values we hold so dear. Of course concerning war, external affairs issues and other non internal issues the Duke has to consult the Council also and decide together what the best actions to take are. In this month we had a long talk with the three Dukes of Immortality and all three agreed wholeheartedly with the plan. Maximus will take over the Diablo section, Holywolf the future Warcraft 3 section and Dragonking will lead the Ultima Online section of our clan. In this month also the invitations where send out for the long awaited tournament organized by Freedom, Tomomot, Tranz-NRG and others. Also this month we experienced troubles with a newly formed clan named SOAD. A very small clan basically PK and consisting of some ex Moralltach members. This group first copied whole parts of our site and portrait it as their own. We immediately took action in RL as well as online and the disputed copy right material was removed. However short after we found out that another site was made with another lay out but with the same copy righted materials. Again we took action and this site was also cleaned. During this time it became very apparent that this ‘clan’ was a PK clan so we put them on our hitlist together with our ally Moralltach. Last but not least, Dennizon began his move towards the States and of course will be offline for several months. He is expected to be back in full sway around april. |
