| In this month we saw yet another councilor stepping down as Farseer, after years of serving the clan, decided he had too little time to continue to be an effective leader. His contributions to the clan are too many to describe here but he was in essence responsible for the welfare of the clan in all aspects during our DAOC years. He remains a member of our clan and carrying with him the well deserved title of Elder.
In this month the clan was fully disbanded in DAOC. All members had left the clan memberlist, the Guild Hall was downsized and made a tome. In it a chest of weapons and artifacts depicting the great deeds of the clan in this game. Defended by the remains of the five monsters of the newest expansion Darkness Rising to symbolize the effort of our clan in this game. This tome has enough gold on it to stand there for 15 years. Dennizon wrote a poem and posted it on the VN boards for all to read. Our leaving was a shock to all and many people said us farewell. The Settlers of Ganereth, prequel of Dark and Light began this month. Some of us like Phoenix, Zen, Albertus and Dennizon bought the pre order pioneer accounts, others tried to obtain it via the free 10000 accounts. However those were gone in under 2 minutes so many could not get a copy. However the launch was a disaster with constant crashes, bugs and server downtime resulting in a deception by many in the first two weeks of the launch. In the last weeks of December the server was taken down permanently because of hackers. While improvements were made, the loosing of characters you made permanently randomly was demotivating at best. |
