| Again another year passed in the clan’s history. Many members were offline during the holidays to visit family and relatives. This contributed to the very quiet month concerning clan activities and forum posts. One thing was foremost on the mind of many and that was the new Lord of the Rings movie that almost all watched. The site was offline for a short period due to a power blackout in Rotterdam.
DIABLO: Baron Microchip decided to have his court primarily the Hardcore court and build up a strong squad of Immortals HC players who, together with our allies, build up the characters and defend the weak against PK’s on Hardcore as well. Microchip also on the forum stated again the importance of tag’s as they show outsiders who and what we are. DAOC: The Shrouded Isles expansion pack came out the 2nd of December and was an instant hit. The game looked so much better and leveling in the new lands so much easier. Soon Immortals started to assemble in Avalon City for level runs. Also in this month Immortality claimed its first and second keep. Azcon made a lot of pictures of the event but forgot his HD being too full. In any case, our name is becoming well known as a clan and on an individual basis. However on the diplomatic front we changed yet again from alliance. This month a new alliance was formed of all the big clans and guilds on one big alliance, called Excalibur Alliance. We tried to convince our alliance lead by Legionis Nox Noctis to merge with the Council of Nine alliance to create in effect two large alliances. To make a ling story short, due to diplomatic troubles in the past Nox was unwilling to do this period. Because of that we choose to leave that alliance and join with the Council of Nine alliance. Azcon finished the installation of the new phpnuke version of the DAOC site and it looks great. UO: The guild grew even more in December. During the holiday’s no official guild activities were planned. Three members promoted to squire this month clearly swelling the ranks of permanent Immortal members in the game. WC3: Blizzard released a new WC3 demo with new maps this month. This meant people who did not have the game could not try it out for free. Yet our allies announced another tournament Moralltach that created some debate as for some the map picking was kind of peculiar. |
