Hail all,

Not sure if anyone remembers me but I was active in Public Chat NLD for a year or two and ended up in Republic of Immortality when Orcish Sword disbanded. I have a lot of fond memories of playing Diablo 2 with the RoI gang and all the fun banter in the chat.. gaming seems a lot less social now than it did back then.

I also made the switch to DAoC on Tristan with you guys, which looking back on it was perhaps the best gaming experience I ever had, those first few years of DAoC are unrivaled in how open it felt, the sense of freedom and teamwork - it was unlike anything that came before it or that I have played since.

I actually don't really play any games anymore outside the odd SNES game because the things I describe here simply can't be found in online multiplayer anymore, for the most part (imho).

I hope you're all well and I'd like to thank each and every one of you for making countless late night gaming sessions so very awesome. /salute

On a serious note, let me start off properly:

Hail all,

I am actually glad to see that many of you are still in contact with each other after all these years. As you, without a shred of doubt in my heart knew, back in the old days when The Republic was still a Kingdom I was still a child, and children, well they act childish. Now being grown up and actually starting to feel old a little, it warms my heart to find a place like this, where many veterans of the Clan you all loved still reside.

Reading through that old history did bring a grin to my face a few times, thanks for the effort in uploading that Albertus.

It has been a long long time! So long I wonder if this board is still checked? Something pinged my memory today and I thought I'd seek the clan out and see if there's anything still around; so glad to find there is!

Very nostalgic seeing names from the past and thinking of all the great times we shared over multiple games. If only I had the time these days like I had 15 years ago to play!
