After a long while this site is being used again and bit by bit old-timers return to what we once called "home". This site brings back memories. I rather rembember the good ones. One of them is that the Republic was a place or it's citizens valued honor, roleplay. teamwork, selfless hard work contributing for the republic and it's citizens. Helping each other was normal. The strong helped the weak. If someone was being attacked by some one else or a group, that group could count on a nice reaction after which he/she would think twice in bothering that person again. It was better to have an Immortal as your ally than as your enemy. Most Player Killers at that time have found that out the hard way.
Come to think of it ... Seems that most of the Council Guard veterans have already reacted on this forum. If they intend to play the same game together, they might form a great addition together. Speaking of games, I will go for Guild Wars 2. I won't be able to game that much like I did years back, because of Real Life work and business, but who knows ... What's life without fun with great persons worldwide?
I know some of you for so many years now. Things have changed over here. I spend more time working on my dreams than on gaming. Most of my writings are in Dutch, so I am surprised about what gets from my hands on this post now. My compliments Albertus for reposting a lot of things again and for giving me back my avatar. Saves me a lot of searching. Who still remembers which avatar belonged to who? I remembered most of them.
Diablo 3 is out and Guild Wars 2 will soon come out (August 28th). Not sure if I will play Diablo 3. I had the Diablo 2 Gold (LOD included) version in my hands, but was not willing to spend another 15 Euros / 20 US Dollars for it. (lost my own d2 copy due to moving and lack of interest) and D3 looks a LOT like d2. That is why I think I'll spend my time on Guild Wars 2.
There will be NO healer class on Guild Wars 2 and the paladin thing has been put into the Guardian class, so that might become my favourite melee character. When it comes to ranged I have found a certain interest in the magic caster. Was that the Elementalist? Might be interesting throwing a secret weapon on our enemies called "The Lag Monster".
Bottom line is that a lot of nice things might come up in the future. School season has started here by then, so also sports evening. That means I am not there the first monday. Maybe later.
I still hope to see you all back soon in Guild Wars 2!
